UK airspace has been hit by a network-wide failure for air traffic control systems, causing delays and cancellations affecting thousands of flights.
National Air Traffic Services (NATS) has said it has “identified and remedied” the technical issue that wiped out UK air traffic control systems, but disruption will continue as the backlog of waiting flights is cleared.
